NEW SmartOnes Pasta: not your usual spaghetti with meat sauce

Good morning!
I've had 2 NEW SmartOnes pasta dishes this week and couldn't wait to share them with you-- it was a nice surprise to see some new options in the SO's area in the freezer- I was starting to feel like I had tried everything they had when it came to "Classic Favorites", but they stepped it up!

Pasta with Ricotta and Spinach
Reading that title makes me hungry-- all ingredients that I love separately, and now know love together!! The pasta is small "ribbons" and are swimming in a great white sauce, with ricotta cheese and chopped spinach- all the textures in this dish are GREAT, and honestly, its hard to believe this is a weight watchers meal. It seriously tastes like something you could get at an Italian restaurant (minus the breadsticks and about 1000 calories!). I'm a big fan of spinach, so this one definitely got a thumbs up from me. These were also on big time sale at my grocer-- so a good time to pick a few up and try them out!

Mini Rigatoni with Vodka Cream Sauce
Normally, when I see vodka, its a hands-down winner. This dish was no different. The pasta in this one is perfectly cooked-- not mushy, but actually a little al dente! The sauce is awesome also, and its even topped with low fat mozzerella cheese. Of course more cheese would have been prefered, but they are actually petty generous. Overall, another GREAT pasta option!! This one is for sure whole grain also, another perk!

  1. Another great pasta meal is Amy's Kitchen Roasted Vegetable lasagna. It is lightly breaded on top, and filled with creamy, cheesy noodles and organic veggies. The portion size is very filling. One meal is 350 calories, 11 grams of fat, and 4 grams of fiber, or 7 weight watchers points.
